About Melissa

Melissa Williams is the PGA Head Professional located in Bradenton Florida.  An elected member of the PGA of America in 2006.  Melissa's mission is to teach the game of golf to every level of golfer. Golf has been a part of her life since birth, playing with her parents at a 9 hole course in Maine.   She played all her amateur golf in Maine, winning the Maine State, Jr. Championship in 1986.  She moved to Florida to attend the Golf Academy of America when she received her Specialized Associates Degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management.

 

She has been featured in the East County Observer, PGA Magazine and the Bradenton Herald with many articles on women's golf.  She enjoys teaching both young and young at heart.

2006 Became a Class "A" Golf Professional for the PGA of America

2006-2010 PGA President's Council on growing the game

2012 Honorable Mention - US Kids Top 50 kids teachers

2015 Tied for 13th place in the LPGA National Stroke Play Championship

2015 Named Best of Bradenton for Golf Instruction

2016 Named one of the top 100 Alumni for the Golf Academy of America

2017 Gross winners of the Southeaster Chapter of the LPGA ProAm event at Celebration

2018 Named on of the top 100 Alumni for the Golf Academy of America

2021 Awarded the Player Development award for the Southwester Chapter

2021 Was elected as Vice President of the North Florida PGA - Southwest Chapter

2022 Awarded the Player Development award for the Southwester Chapter

2022 Received the ADM Certification for becoming a PGA COACH.

2022 Became Specialized in Golf Operations for the PGA of America

2022 Became Specialized in Teaching and Coaching for the PGA of America

2022 Became Certified in Golf Operations for the PGA of America

2022 Awarded the Golf Professional of the year for the SW Chapter
